The Indian economy has been passing through a trajectory of high growth for several  years. The overall Gross Domestic Product ( GDP) is estimated to grow at 8.9 % with the agriculture and allied sectors projected to grow at 3.6 %. Despite the fact that Rural India, with almost 74% of the population, has much to offer to the world by way of its rich traditions in arts, crafts and culture, it has not kept pace with Urban India, due to topographical constraints, inadequate infrastructure and insufficiently trained human resource.
Keeping in view the need to bring the rural youth, especially belonging to the lower strata of rural society, to the level of their urban counterparts, Centre for Integrated Rural Development ( CIRD) of ITFT Education Group is working with a Mission :
"To provide opportunity to the rural youth, especially, youth belonging to lower
strata of rural society for skill development to make them employable
in the fast developing Service Industry and in other economic activities"
Centre for Integrated Rural Development (CIRD) through its various skill development training initiatives and research activities, targets to upgrade the knowledge & skills of Rural Youth to bring them in the main stream of the Country after providing them with the skills required among rural youth towards their employment generation and entrepreneurship. It is a Centre of Excellence for Rural Development Training and Research & Caters to every facility required for the students/trainees/ researchers, form India and abroad.
| Training @ CIRD |
CIRD provides skills development training programme for the Rural Youth and emphasises on various skills development including soft  skills, basic communication skills, Basic IT Skills, Managerial skills, Selling skills, Business & Office Management Skill with overall personality enhancement which are required by the Corporate Houses and is the most important factor for the development of our rural youth towards making them employable. Our efforts are directed towards development of Rural Human Resource.
Over the years CIRD has sharpened its tools and techniques by developing appropriate training module to train Human Capital to suit the requirements of Corporate Houses, & other Economic Activities. The strength of CIRD lies in its well qualified and experienced faculty members having national and international exposure with specialization ranging from sustainable economic development, women & Child Development to human resource development, Organizational Development, besides Planning and Evaluation.
Under ITFT- NexGen Finishing School,we trained more than 2000 youth from North East, 150 youth from Lambi Consultancy, Distt Muktsar, Punjab and 345 youth from District Amritsar in Punjab in the recent past. These youth were intensively trained with special modules on Skills Development. The programmes offered were of great success which resulted in meaningful direct employment of deserving youth. Recently Ministry of Rural Development Government of India has approved ITFT's project to train 2000 rural BPL Youth from Haryana of +2 & above students belonging to rural areas. The projects of Punjab, Himachal & others areas of Haryana are at various stages of approval with Govt. of India. |

CIRD undertakes research on the factors which are directly responsible for socio - economic development of people residing in rural areas and benefit their lifestyles by improving their knowledge, skills and attitude through various training workshops and seminars etc towards providing them employment and entrepreneurship. |
