To conduct research & training in Travel and Tourism Management, Film & Television, Choreography, Personality Development, Automation, Information Technology, Cosmetology, Event Planning, Promotion and Management, Concept Selling, Exhibition and Trade Fairs in India and abroad, Conferences and Conventions, Public Relations, Journalism, Sales, marketing & Advertising, Situational Management, Son et Lumiere (Sound & Light Shows), and other segments of the Service Industry Management. To set up and manage Educational Institutions, viz. Schools, Colleges etc., Universities and Professional Institutes for academic & professional courses, either solely or in association with any person or Institution.
To undertake educational programmes and to organise courses of studies (Training Programmes, lectures, seminars, symposia and conferences etc. in the various aspects of above mentioned areas including in collaboration with foreign universities, and to meet the Human Resource requirements of high caliber and competence at various tiers in above mentioned areas.
To provide continuing educational and training opportunities and facilities for personnel, in the different segments of the above mentioned areas for updating information and creating a cadre of professionally trained management personnel at different tiers.
To conduct, promote and institute research in the above-mentioned fields, likely to be conducive in their promotion and development to provide research facilities by contractual arrangement and to publish the results of the research conducted.
To provide, consultancy services, advice/suggestions in the promotion and development of above mentioned areas.
To undertake and provide for the publication of suitable literature comprising books, journals, research papers, monographs that may be considered desirable in furtherance of the objectives of the institute.
To invite experts and academicians who are actively engaged in Tourism and above mentioned Management studies, training and research, to deliver lectures and participate in the training and research activities of the institute.
To start Market Research Centre/Data Base Centre to carry out research/studies in the field of Tourism and above mentioned Management studies
To organize conferences and events related to Travel & Tourism, Airlines, Hospitality and other segments of Service Industry from time to time to bring in overall economic and regional development. For this purpose, the ITFT will constitute a separate Oneworld ITFT Events Management Wing.
As the prime objective of the ITFT is to impart employment based education keeping in view the requirements and pre-requisites of Service Industry Corporate Sector, the ITFT will have Oneworld ITFT HR Solutions as its placement arm in major metros with its main office at Delhi, being hub of employment opportunities.
To promote & synergise NRI Investors, Businessmen, Entrepreneurs, Financiers, Educationists, Hoteliers, Real Estate & Retailers, Medical & Health Experts, Resort Planners & Developers, Media & Entertainment Experts, Tourism & Aviation Professionals, Philanthropists and their counterparts in India, particularly in Punjab to promote investments and joint ventures in sunrise segments of the Service Sector in Northern India, particular in Punjab, and to promote NRI tourism to this part of the country, ITFT will have ITFT-International Punjabi Chamber for Service Industry (IPCSI) as an additional wing.
To share and pool in the latest information of travel trade including hospitality, airlines, MICE industry, to invite new innovative ideas to promote tourism at Chandigarh, to recommend our views to Chandigarh Tourism Department for the overall growth of the industry and to help Chandigarh Tourism Dept for promoting the city as destination for Cinematic, Health, Nature and Cultural Tourism besides other projects undertaken, ITFT will have its separate Chandigarh Tourism Club Wing.
To tap the huge potential of media and entertainment for employment generation and for the overall growth of the economy of the Northern India including Tourism promotion, ITFT will have a separate “Centre for Media & Entertainment Studies Wing”
